How to register as a user on the robot.
On the main menu press Login and then select Register.
Fill in the your call and Email address. This email address will be used should you decide to change your password. That includes should you change your email in the future.
Fill in the security code and then Submit. The security code keeps many of the auto robots out. You will only be able to register if you are a current member of TARS.
You will then be sent a one time password usually a number that you can use to login. Once you login with the one time password you immediately be asked to change your password to something you know. You have to enter it twice to make sure we have it correct. Only when he two passwords agree will the Submit button be enabled. On the occasion that it does then back space out the last character of one of the passwords and re-enter it and the button should be enabled. This little buglet is javascript hanging sometimes.
For users with difficulty reading contrast clicking the High Contrast button will change data to black on Yellow.
So you got past the password update now you have the config page presented to you. Fill in or change your details as you see fit and then Update it.
Have fun using the ROBOT 73 de Tony G6GLP.
How to login if you are unsure
To login assuming you have already registered and are say returning after some time then here are a few hints to help you on your way.
You will need the call sign you logged in with (You may have upgraded or changed it since last here but the ROBOT wont know that). You will also need to have you password that you used to login with. Don't ask for your password as it is kept in a hashed form so not redeemable.
Go to Login on the main menu and select Login from the drop down.
Enter your call and password and Submit. You should be in if you have the correct details.
What to do if you don't have your password? Change your password.
There are several ways to change your password.
On the main login page dont enter your call or password just hit the Pw Reset button.
If you are not logged in then you will need to enter your call and the email address that you originally logged in with. Even if changed yor call in the config you still need to enter the original address.
